Mr. Minsky began practicing law in 1981 and has been a solo practitioner since 1983. He only represents employees in all facets of labor and employment matters. He has several recognized court decisions and has authored publications in the field of disability discrimination. He is a current or past member of the Long Beach Bar Association, Los Angeles County Bar Association, the State Bar of California, Executive Committees of the State Bar of California's Labor and Employment Law Section as well as the Los Angeles County Bar's Labor and Employment Executive Committee, National Lawyers' Guild, National Employment Lawyers' Association, California Employment Lawyers' Association, and the Consumer Attorneys' Association of Los Angeles.

Mr. Minsky has been a speaker on numerous occasions addressing various employment issues with special emphasis on disability discrimination. He has been a panel member for various organizations including the Labor and Employment Section for the California State Bar, the Long Beach Bar Association, California Employment Lawyers' Association, National Employment Lawyers' Association, Consumer Attorneys' Association of Los Angeles, and the National Lawyers' Guild. He was also a member of the California State Bar's rural outreach education program.

Mr. Minsky's community service includes being a past board member for Joint Efforts, the Disability Rights Center, and volunteer for the Association for Retarded Citizens, LBHAA (Long Beach Housing Action Authority), Long Beach Legal Aid, the MS Society, and the Long Beach Stand Down (offering free legal assistance to veterans).

Mr. Minsky also has a life-time community college instructor credential and is an adjunct professor of sociology.
